Community members include: * Legal guardians of FHM students. Any legal guardian irrelevant of amount time spent with child(ren) or primary residence of child(ren) may submit a vote. * FHM staff. All FHM staff get one vote and if a staff member is also a legal guardian, (s)he only votes once. You may choose to vote electronically or by leaving a voicemail on the election phone number. The FHM Governance Committee facilitates the voting process and is committed to voter confidentiality. They will review ballots to ensure only one vote is made per eligible person.

Leslie Arboleda

Leslie Arboleda’s family has been at FHM for four years with two current students. She is a Montessori alum, a parent volunteer, a former teacher, and holds degrees in psychology, marketing, human development and family studies. Leslie loves the social foundation of Montessori and that FHM offers opportunities and skills to turn children into the world changers. She feels FHM could have better open conversations between BOD, community, and staff to decrease fragmented feeling. Leslie reports she is not the typical candidate due to her counseling, preschool teacher and yoga background, but believes it offers a diverse perspective.

Doug Klof

Doug Klof has two FHM students and a perspective third in 2020. Doug is a healthcare consultant, real estate developer, and former vice president of a HOA board. Doug joined the finance committee in the Fall of 2019 and has served on the board in an interim role since January. Doug values the FHM mentality of fostering student independence. He desires to retain quality teachers as his greatest interest and believes the BOD will provide high-quality Montessori education by honoring unique staffing ratios. Doug’s perspective will include his previous board experience, finance experience and knowledge as a current Board member.

Bekky Robbins

Bekky Robbins has one child in primary at FHM and one perspective child in Fall 2021. Bekky is an epidemiologist and Montessori alum. Bekky holds degrees in biology, Spanish, and public health. Bekky believes Montessori identifies learners’ strengths and helps them overcome their weaknesses without the prescribed academic level as a barrier. Bekky sees the main goal of the board as getting families engaged, keeping the community involved, and increasing FHM footprint in the greater community.
